About Okochoko
The story of OKOCHOKO chocolates began with a chance meeting between the founder, a former bank executive, and cocoa farmers several years ago.
While he was looking for plants of other species, he fortuitously witnessed the complaint of cocoa growers who found themselves at the mercy of buyers coming exclusively from Nigeria to buy cocoa beans on their terms at the whim of the fluctuating naira.

While he was looking for plants of other species, he fortuitously witnessed the complaint of cocoa growers who found themselves at the mercy of buyers coming exclusively from Nigeria to buy cocoa beans on their terms at the whim of the fluctuating naira.
This gave rise to the idea of buying at a price above the market price in order to offer better conditions to the farmers. The aim is to process the beans, adding value rather than selling them as they are.
